I know it's a knife, but...

There are no markings on this critter anywhere. I found this several years ago along with some other tools wrapped in some sort of cloth. It was buried about 10" under the dirt floor of an old barn and all of the stuff in it was almost rust free. I'm thinking it was a farrier's tool set due to the type of tools and nails found, but this knife has always made me wonder about it.

The blade will attract a magnet, but the handle pieces (guard and end) will not.

Anyone ever seen one like this and can you tell me anything about it?

Great information folks!

I've begun the Google search on theatre knives and found a lot of information! Looking through my magnifying loop I can see what looks like the top of an "S" where Mojjax's blade has one.

Looks like it's solved!

Thanks!

Sure is and yes it has been! LOTS of information out there about it.

The handle on this one looks like a clear plastic or something, definitely modified. Going beck to its home in the display case now.

Thanks again,
