Any Ideas on this Bottle I found some info on sinalco sodas kinda like a fruit drink they still make, been around 100 yrs or so, This one says sinalco around the bottom (side as pictured) and AWICHITA across the bottom. I wondering about age and rarity. Gypsy, barandon(godisnum) Burdie, and I dug it at the chisolm trail hunt. Also is another pic of a Jar that apears to say HO Hienz on the bottom found in the same hole. Any info would be appreciated.
Niether jar nor bottle is screw top but the bottle is of course cap top.

That definitely is a really nice bottle!

I had such a good time in that hole... but I must say, you dig like a dang gopher! I can't believe how quickly you were able to expand that hole... and some really sweet stuff came out of it too!!

Seeing the pic's of those bottles, it's really making me want to piece that pot back together. I wish I had the time though. :-\

I wonder if this "Sinalco" refers to the same as yours??

"Sinalco is a brand of non-alcoholic drinks founded in 1902, with sales in more than 40 countries.

In 1902, German scientist Friedrich Eduard Bilz invented "Bilz Brause", a sherbet powder, and started to sell it in partnership with industrialist Franz Hartmann. As imitations started to appear, they held a prize competition for a brand name, and chose "Sinalco" (an abbreviation of the Latin sine alcohole, "without alcohol"). As one of the first beverage brands, Sinalco came to be exported worldwide, particularly to South America and the Middle East. The red circle trademark was registered in 1937. A distinctively-shaped bottle was launched in the 1950s, and updated at the end of the century. Sinalco is the oldest softdrink brand in Europe.

I also remember seeing yellow mustared and spiced mustard in that kind of jar at my grandmother's house when I was a child. Early 1950's. It had a pry off and snap back on lid. ( not that I'm that old or anything) :laughing1: Monty

Weeeelllll,

I know that Sinalco was also Kickapoo and Royal Crown Cola. I know they are world-wide - Egypt, Singapore, etc. I know it was the oldest drink in Europe. It was founded in 1902. It's always a non-alcholic beverage.

But, for the life of me, I cannot find your particular bottle - even on Kovels. (and they usually are pretty great)

Actually, I believe it to be darker than a beer bottle... but you'll have to ask TC to make sure.
I kinda held it up and looked at it against the sky for a sec, but it still had a bunch of dirt clogged inside of it.

Yup Brown or black and its not "mine" If its something outragously worthy it belongs to Gypsy, Bran Burdie and Me.
I did find that in the early 1900 cocacola wanted to make a really cool bottle (perhaps to out advertise other brands) so they made one with a really wide midsection and a small base, it failed and never made it to production as it was easily tiped over and couldent get off the assembly line without problems.
I also Know that folks have been trying to sell the same (at least equall) products for yrs with just diffrent wrapings (advetisments etc...) in order to outsale the competion.
I am just figuring at this point of course. But Sinalco had a nice little international buisness, Cocacola dident.
What could cocacola do to get on top(other than be in a free enterprise system of course-the USA) to bet Sinalco at its game??? Advertise, bring out a catchy label, a pretty Bottle, pretty Girls, trays etc etc...
I am agien just figuring of course, Did sinalco loose at the game? Lost in History (Like the yokum Silver dollar wink:) Theres gotta be more bottles like this out there.

Well, you expanded the hole and found that thing TC... and even though I started the hole, I'd say that find is yours regardless!
We all got some pretty neat finds!
Oh, those Yoachum's are still out there. I just know there's more to be found!!
I would agree with you though, there just have to be more of those bottles out there. Did you see Gypsy's identical bottle that matches mine? (even though I have more pieces to mine  ) I'm sure there's a matching to yours somewhere out in that creek....
