Hi 👋🏻
I?m new here and possibly posting in the wrong place?. I got this today, it just looked so cute, the lady I bought it from said it?s been sitting unused for about 40 years. I?ve searched the internet but can?t find anything like that. It?s a rocker and a swivel, the faux leather (but pretty soft) cushions are attached with snaps. Im trying to find who it might be made by, how old it is and what?s it worth. My husband didn?t approve of my purchase, so I want to help him see its history and value. Thank you!

Google up McGuire style rattan and bamboo furniture. Show him what some of the prices are for those not saying yours is McGuire but it is in the same styling of that brand I would put yours from the 1950's or 1960's. It is in very good condition The little metal pieces on the sides are for releasing air from the cushions so they don't rip the seams instead they are like air vents.

Welcome to TN

Well done on your purchase.

I say if it makes you smile and feel good-good on ya for buying it. Life's too short really to be living with the "should have".

I could see the Mrs buying that as well, great shape and something that nobody else has. (probably the red colour)

Have a look on the inner caning, there might be a maker's tag attached.
It really looks like it has been taken care of and well made as one doesn't see those little air button breathers on cushions any longer.
