I know I'm getting old

because after I hunt all day my knees and elbows hurt. The next day I walk stooped over because my knees don't like too straighten up.

But it is really insulting at the age of 47 I get advertisements in the mail from the Scooter Store.

I've been getting these for about 4 years.

I started getting a lot of mail from AARP at around 50

In my mind I'm still a kid, but the body feels old! LOL

Yea , the old body just ain't what it used to be . With me it's my back & my right shoulder . I switch hands while detecting & all the getting up & down wreaks havoc on my back . I won't quit as long as I can move though .

AARP started recruiting me about 10 years ago, when I was 37, whats the deal? Thats still not as bad as the US Marines, they sent my mom a recruiting letter at age 60!

My neck...from looking to see where I am swinging and the muscles in front of my legs above the knees...after I squat down and up to dig the targets.

I'm glad my truck has power breaks,steering and auto trans.
after 5 or 6 hrs I just point it to get home.
I'm going to hate when I get as old as you guys I'm only 63

Shoot, I've been getting flyers for stuff like burial insurance. When out detecting, I don't dig holes big enough to crawl into. I'm thinking AARP stands for Arthritic Aches and Rheumatoid Pains.

Thought I would tell you OLD folks a story that happend to me. The wife and I enjoy going to one of the river boats to eat. Its about a 45 mile drive so we don't get there very often, but the price has been the same for quite a while. The last time we went the bill was less than normal. I figured they had lowered the price. So while we were sitting at the table I looked at the receipt and it said 1 reg. buffet and 1 senior buffet. I know I have grey hair but heck I am only 36 and the senior discount starts at 50. Let me tell you that makes you feel just fantastic. I am worried what kind of discount I will get when I am 50. How much do they give for deceased?

I'll be 50 my next birthday. I don't feel old at all, just a little tired sometimes.

I've never wanted one, but this birthday I'm having a bash. I'm looking forward to telling folks I'm 50......or should I tell em fitty.

Stopped in to read the post after taking momma out to Olive Garden for her (39th) birthday. The bill actually wasn't that bad for me having a 18oz steak (love beef), two glasses of wine and momma having a nice dinner, glass of wine and a cup of coffee...$47.00. Could have had some free cake to if they wife would have let me tell them it was her birthday...Kill Joy

But at 55 I think they should have asked us about a seniors discount. I keep forgetting that some places start it at 50. To tell you the truth I don't think we have ever gotten a senior discount.

But if they seen me after a 5 hours hunt bet they would give it to me just from the Ben Gay smell and Momma helping me along haha...

my wrists and legs is what gets me, only 50 here so i guess its time the parts start hurting some, dont look like i'm gonna get to hunt any this weekened raining cats and dogs here in wv, so i'll rest for another day. hope its better next weekened, springtime we got enough rain now dont we ?
