Found this on the beach. It is about the size of a half dollar. Anyone know what it is for or from?

yep it is exactly a "cremation tag" -- they are often placed with the ashes to ID them to prevent mix ups --and when the ashes get dumped into the sea --the tags do too --- if it was me * back it goes when it was meant to be ,--in the ocean with the ashes of the body it was with.

keep it at your own risk -- some folks ghost might haunt you for keeping "their" tag (ok go ahead and laugh if you want to--for now at least) -- in some folks point of view --- it would be like keeping a part of the body .---- at the very least it would be a very morbid item to keep in lots of folks veiw point..

its from culley's meadowwood funeral home and memorail park , tallahassee , florida * (850) 877 - 8191 --since you know the ID number --they could tell you who it "belonged" to
