Detector(s) used
Treasure baron with Goldtrax
hello to you all after having a dream to detect since i was young about 10years old i finally took the plunge and ordered a cheap machine the Xj9 i know some of you will prob say waste of time getting it and all go for a named brand. I wanted something to get started with make a few finds then upgrade I wish to do mainly beach searching what would be your best detector for this kind of searching. I found the people here to be really helpfull having a lot of paitence for a newbie I hope to do my first search on Saturday and whatever i find i will post it will possiably be a fine roman coin or perhaps a hoard of long forgotten gold or even a ringpull one bottle top an old penny thats the beauty of this hobby you never know. I hope to be able to search aboard one day in the USA would i need a special permit as I am from the UK.

here is the link to my new detector will you have a look and let me know what you think

Many thanks to the people that helped me yesterday.

stike it rich

Welcome friend. I'm not real great with what detector is best for what. I do know some cannot handle salt water beaches well. A low priced MD probably not. Make sure you know exactly what the machine is capable of, compared to how you want to hunt. Glad you're here. You'll meet a lot of great people. ;D P.S. Is your name supposed to be strike instead of stike? Wanted to bring that to your attention. ;)

Welcome Rich ;

Although I never heard of the Xj19,
I hope you have a Fun time using it.

Your in a Great country for Old Relics, Treasures,
Etc.

Good to have you with us.

Jeff
