Garrett only makes two detectors that consistently sell for me . The Ace 150 and the Ace 250 . Thats it . Whites fly off the shelves , Tesoros have a cult , Detectorpro is an easy sell . All of those go well across the line BUT the Garrett only goes quickly on the 150 and 250 .

I traded my XLpro and a huge assortment of coils in for an ExII and an X-1 inline probe, Minelab rocks no offense to Whites which also rock. The Minelab goes way deep!

Garrett seems to have gone in the right direction with the Ace 150 and 250. Hope that is a sign of things to come.

Which was initially suprising to me. They named them "Ace" like they were based off the Treasure Ace 100-300 seires. I bought the 300 as my very first detector and I think I could have done just as well with a Little Wizard waving it over the ground. The depth on the things were literally just that bad. The new series has gotten rave reviews as a boat load of features for a low cost. I am tempted to get one myself, but my Ace 300 days still have me leery of the brand name.

I was just telling about a friend in another post that used a Treasure Ace 300 I guess I new it was a 3. He used that detector for years. He made some awesome finds with it. You did not want to hunt a spot behind him no matter what detector you used. I still use the old picnic site he found from the 1900's to try out new detectors and so far all I have found is a Buffalo nickle with the Explorer II. That one was not deep, I am sure he and I had just missed it before. That Little Treasure Aces 3 in his hands was deadly and the weird thing was he swung it like he was cutting grass, lol.
