Fredericksburg, I am assuming that is the Maryland area. There is a military facility also in that area. The magnet fishing is a growing trend and we have a Magnet fishing area here on this forum and you might want to just scroll through there and get ideas and post your questions there. Bottle hunting, I was involved it that back in the 50s and that was in Oregon and Idaho. Then I joined the military and my view for bottle hunting just meant a trip to the local outlet for a purchase but they were full of liquid:) Welcome aboard and wish you much luck here in the warm country.

Welcome to tnet

Fredericksburg is in the heart of Civil War territory. The problem will be getting a permission. I have heard any construction site near there gets hit. The Rappahannock River west of I-95 has numerous places you can probably pan for gold. Check out to see if the little museum in the town of Goldvein is still open.

Welcome!

I just moved to Fredericksburg from Alaska and am very interested but don’t know much of metal detectors or Virginia but did get a Garrett 300 for Xmas. I’ve also been interested in both magnet fishing and bottle hunting.

I spent a little time in the Rockville MD then the Allentown, PA area. Locusts were crazy loud in the summer.
I am also a sensitive so I feel so much from the energy on that side of the country. It was pretty overwhelming!
