I wasn't actually detecting today but found a new area along the river to scavenge for some things. A lot of bottle pieces, broken plates and glasses and all this and all that. I'll get some pics of that later. I wanted to show how much iron was strewn about. It's obviously a point of desertion for whatever reason. So much stuff is eroding out of the bank and down towards the river. You just have to take your time to find the interesting things. There's quite a few heavy pieces of iron too...most likely industrial fixtures. I also wanted to show a picture of the tar blob too. There were a few of them here and there. I strongly suggest that you DONT #$%^ with old-school-tar 'anything'...it's likely to have !!!asbestos!!! in it. So, just don't dink with it.
