Excellent are you on the front porch waiting?? Looking forward to you review

Yes, take it to your WORST iron infested site and let us know. Vferrari and I are going to do a side by side comparison with the 800 and a Deus when he gets his. I have a private permission in Virginia that is infested with ration can bits. Thousands of them. Last week we got several nice items out of the small area. We will do a timed test in an enclosed area, by that I mean 100' x 100' and after an hour see what we have. That will tell the tale for relics. I'll see if we can get an AT Pro or Max and add that to the contest also. Might also be able to get a Fisher F-75 to come out and play also.

And tnsharpshooter, find an iron infested place, not just a park....

I don't think this would be a fair test until the user got a few hours under their belt with it first.

Smokey,
Don't you worry, I have some iron infested sites. Quite crude actually. Equinox will be in there. But we need to see Equinox in more venues besides heavy nails and iron.

I will be subjecting Equinox to situations many here recognize as challenging. And we'll see what happens.

Will use some pics too to depict.
No video.

Folks will undoubtably after reading/looking know what's up with Equinox.

Mighty Deus will help me do too.

Air tests please on a quarter, dime and penny! Though many frown upon them as they don't relate to true in the field depth, it is a semi controlled test that is repeatable among all users (assuming they use the same settings in their air tests), whereas comparing an in ground test may yield wildly different results then my ground, due to uncontrollable variances in ground type, mineralization etc....

How about a test in an iron infested area with a fair amount of can slaw in there also...

Aluminum? Probably like everything else out there. Discrimate out the sluminum and lose the gold too.

Need noggin' discrimination for aluminum. Deus audio is very telltale on irregularly shaped targets like can slaw or bent tabs. Hoping Equinox has a similar audio signature in 50 tones. Plus iron bias setting might help with iron down averaging to make 50 tones (EQ's version of full tones) play nice with Iron without applying disc. We'll see. I know Tnsharpshooter will give the EQ a thorough exam. Poor Equinox, it's gonna be wore out.
