found this in upstate ny.
it's iron , heavy, has a 5 point star on both sides...
has 3 , 1/8" holes that pass all the way through from one side to the other and one 1/4" hole in the small end , approx. 1/2" deep .

great I.D. taz, i was thinking some kind of lever and wondering how long the OPs item is

Hello prairiedog, nice find- can you give us any context as to where you found it, history of the site. Scales often are a sign of commerce or trade. taz42o, Excellent ID and a neat reference site- for pictures. Too bad they don't have any real info. I wonder if the stared guitar is a reference to Texas? Either made for Tx. co. or made by. HH

Taz WTG great I.D.:notworthy: Quite a few guys and gals on T-net are fantastic at I.D.ing stuff, I just wish I could research as well as they do.
