Someone brought them into work to see if I could ID them. My best guess & I didn't want to drive people into one direction, was ring holders. But not a good guess really!

Do you think they are made to sit like that? Looking at the bottom it seems like they are designed to fit on the end of a rod. Curtain rod ends? Maybe they are hooks for coffee mug tree?

I think Matt has a grand idea with holders for a coffee mug tree. :) Breezie

but i am with Matt ,, the groove under the seat is so well defined i would think they have a purpose .
