Found this today on my first hunt with my new e-trac. It was a very short hunt I just had to go try it out for about 15 min. At first when I pulled it out of the hole it looked a lot like a set of points out of an old car or something. After examining it further when I got home its apparent that's not what it is. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I agree with the suspender buckle idea. I have seen them on some vintage clothing.
