Dug this one the other day.
Though it looked really familiar, but can't place it.
Then doing a sortof finds-a dah moment.
I had found another before it seems.
I have nothing.
Any ideas out there?

Made out of lead/type of metal.

This site predates the over head projector-box camera was a fad.

It is indeed a window shade roller. Search that in the site here and you’ll find an ID with an 1850s or 60s patent with photos.

Dang! With a diameter of 2 inches, the shades back then must have been massive.
