Hi everyone!

I was looking at some of the great finds that were posted on here and figured Id jump in.

I started to dig for a project in my backyard and found some interesting things, some of it trash, lots of bottles and these things. They dont look like anything of much value but I'm no expert.
I live in eastern Massachusetts.

The weird token looking thing says "Ellis No.1 PAT. MAY 23-1899" Ironically May 23rd is my wifes birthday too, weird.

The other thing has some writing on it but its hard to make it all out, best I can see are the letters TAPLD FOR
There are a few letters in the beginning of it that I just cant read.

Any ideas?

A sewn on snap is definitely the closest resemblance to the round thing, good call. I looked for a long time and couldn't find anything close to it.

Havent even gotten around to using the detector yet, my property is from the late 1800s and it was owned by the same family until a few years before we bought it. Could be a good thing.

I'll be sure to post if I find anything cool!

Item 2 may be part of a mans stocking garter.

The round item looks like an anchor for a screw-in chair or table leg.
