The item on the left is what I am asking for help on. I think I know what the item on the right is. Found in a field that has produced everything from round balls to modern general service buttons. Any ideas would be appreciated. :icon_scratch:

Need a little bit more of a description. It looks like brass, is it? Does it have any holes on either end? If so are they threaded?

It appears to be brass. It has no holes in either end and is not threaded. Thanks for looking.

You mean Calvery like the place Christ was crucified, or cavelry like cowboys and Indians? Couldn't pass that one up and I apologize for taking liberties with your post. I thought the thing on the left was a tiny peg leg, but now I don't think so. I really don't have a clue so I'll just shut up! Monty

Looks like a section of a bayonet frog from an old rifle/musket (if it has a flat reverse)

It's not flat on the back. Uniform all the way around.

OK then, is it broken at both ends?, if so part of a drawer pull

I'm riding with Gypsy on this one and going with Bolo Tie end. Actually, I think we could all do somewhat better if the pic was LARGER or is that spelled larjar? Actually, with my Scarlett O'Hara accent, I would pronounce is laa-jarah :laughing7: Breezie
