Someone set fire to it years back and then they had it demolished and filled in. He was kind enough to let us come over there and detect. It is a vast area so we need a lot of time todetct.
he told me last year he was working a field near him and part of his disc came apart. He lost parts of his disc that could no longer be replaced. I told him I would take a couple of metal detectors over to it and see if we could find it. Today i went over and took a couple detectors with me. i picked up the owner and we drove to the fierld he lost the parts. The filed we needed to hint was maybe 300 yards long and 200 yards wide. I showed the owner how to swing the detector and what to listen for. He made it to the end of the field and then turned to come back. He got 3/4 of the way back and got a hit . He dug it up and it wast the first part of the disc .

He called me over and i looked at it. I told him the rest had to be close .He swung the Simplex maybe 3 feet from where he got the first piece lost and WHam up comes the second part. He was extremely happy and was ready to quit . I told him no the Nut had to be close here said maybe but did not think it was two important, He swung the simplex and less then 3 feet from the second part out pops the nut :) Thanks for listening to my story and hoped you liked it.

I can detect any place on his farm. he is getting me permissions from his neighbors also

Let me say this. I went back to the man that let us detect his old place BECAUSE of what he did for us. NOT for what he would do for us. Those of you that know me know I enjoy and get my thrills from helping people not for what they can or might do for me ! I really enjoy getting that warm fuzzy feeling i get by helping others. I do not think i have much time left on this earth.
On my way from my house to The mans farm there was a fellow broke down with a flat tire. He could not change it and was trying to get his son to come help him. He was telling me it is so tough to get old and some day i would find out what he meant !!! .He was 71 years old !!! I did not have the heart to tell him i was 76 LOL BUt I am just glad i could be of assistance !!! . Forgive me for rambling on !!!

hope he let you detect the rest of the place, should be some good stuff there
Yes it is a giant area !!! I even took my walk behind brush hog there to cut more places to detect. !!!

E-Trac he found them not me
I just let him use one of my SImplex's I looked but did not get in the area of them

Thanks Bamasteve

Nice!!!! Congrats!!!

Great job with helping him find his parts!

Let me pay the land owner a compliment. For never swinging a detector before he did great !! I gave him some instructions on how to swing it. He started doing the Z swing . I stopped him and showed him how much land he was missing in his detecting . He started doing it my way and seen how not to miss any land With in 1/2 hour He found the first pice then in less then 3 minutes later we had the second piece. we had not got the nut yet He was ready to stop. He said he could buy another nut. I told him The nut had to be CLOSE !!! . On his next swing maybe 2 feet from the other big round piece was the nut. All pieces were buried He said the nut was only about 6 to 8 dollars LOL
