I always wanted to have a parrot, one who would sit on my shoulder and maybe talk. So I drove 3 hours to pick him up and two girls to go with him. They are very demanding. I have them in the living room in a larger - actually huge carrier with windows in it. They seem to like it here and like to be picked up and played with. The cats are not especially amused. The big cat, Smoke, just realized they were here this morning. I think he may not have been feeling well the last few days. He is almost 18 years old.

So I got the boy parrot out this morning and we played awhile. He sat on my shoulder awhile.

Here's a picture:

I thought parrots were green, did I get ripped off?:laughing7:

His name is "Silver" and he is an Old English Duckwing Bantam Gamebird (rooster). Very sweet. Sorry about the orientation of the pic. I don't take selfies and forgot to orient the camera correctly.

Cool parrot, hopefully you won't need to keep it inflated...

There you go Smokey, my neck can't take the tilted version.
Great pic, great to hear they're settling in, and becoming pets already.

All he does is crow a couple times a day.

Names?
How about Christmas, Thanksgiving , and New Years?
(Just kidding.)

Interesting parrots.....Be patient teaching them to talk. It might be a while.

Ha!

LOVE IT! When he starts talking, I want to be your road manager, we'll make MI$$iIONS

The names are Silver, the rooster, the darker hen is named Honey and the little one Buff, all due to coloration. Pepperj, I HAD the program to do photo editing but the computer broke and I had to get a new computer and its not on it and I'm not paying again. I apparently never take selfies.

I bet your "chickens" cost more than mine did! Thanks for the pics.

My rooster doesn't even weight 1 pound. They are miniatures. With big appetites.

Im sure they did but you can't judge bets by the cost......LOL. Your chickens are neat, did you get the diapers yet?

Only one came in so far. The mail is horribly slow. The cats are suggesting I see a therapist because I got animals other than THEM.

Wow, and it looks just like a chicken! Congrats.

Yeah, kinda does resemble a chicken.

Was in tending the flock yesterday and the thought popped up while I was scooping up the poops. Wonder the diapers are working out for Smokeythecat, so did they arrive, fitted, working out??
