I have no idea to work it. Is it normal for the discriminator knob to go continuosly around and around without a start or stop point? On the handle is a red button- spring loaded. I don t understand its reason for being. Does anyone know a diagnostic test i can perform to see if it s=discriminates properly? It does detect metal - found a 70's can of Schlitz beer [empty] from the pull tab days in 5" of sand.

i need the manual - is it possible to get one?

Thanks in advance guys!!!

Pete

You lucked out, Got a 555-D since it came out and still use it, also have the manual just slip over the instruction for the knobs that aren't on your detector the on the 555-D is a little more then 552D. I'll need your E-mail to send the file can't send files on here. Mine is [email protected].
