nice job! maybe a pair of cutters would be helpfull. maybe even a saw like they use in landscaping for cutting branches?

Amen brother, had the same problem today, didn't even see what it was,no way in.Congrat's on your finds and HH!

dry wall saw from hardware store works great for roots

Muddy,

silver is always nice. Good finds.

Do not think Joyce Kilmer would agree with you on the roots.

have a good un..............

silver good, roots bad. Guess well have to learn to deal with them. sounds like a good place you have there so take your time and leave it nice looking.

Me too muddy! >:(

But....nice finds today!

;)

Tree roots are a challenge aren't they? The dry wall saw is a great tool to aid in their removal. That Gerber baby spoon that you mentioned probably had the handle bent into a loop. Little fingers can hold that easier then a straight handled spoon. They came bent from the factory. Good luck with your future hunts. It sounds like you have found a promising place. Two Dogs

That's a nice hunt at the old houses.

Tree roots are part of the hobby.

So far the only place I don't run into them is the beach. :D
