Still in the process of cleaning.? I don't know if you believe in Dowsing or not but I sure do.? Everytime I pull out my L-Rods I find great Jewelry.? This morning I went to a park that I haven't been to yet, I pulled out my L-Rods (made sure there wasn't anyone around to see me, I am still a little self conscious about them).? I walked about 20 feet before they crossed, I went to get my detector and sure enough right under where they crossed I found a silver ring.? I always scan after I recover and sure enough about 6" away I got another hit.? I started digging and much to my surprise GOLD!? Luckily it is all in one piece, its just kinked in a few places.? I am still cleaning but as you can see it is big, it is heavy and it is GOLD.

I found the instructions on the web but here goes. I used 2 hangers wires 20" long each and then bent to form the "L" at 4". I just think of what I want to find and ask them to show me. The one in my right hand appears to be more active so I let the one in my Right hand lead the way (it moves in the direction that I need to walk). When they cross right in the middle of the rods then I am over the target. Everytime I have used these they have worked 100% of the time to find what I wanted first time.

Wow!

Must be boring to find what you wanted first time, everytime.

One of my sons works for a phone company and they use rods all the time to locate phone lines. There are a lot of skeptics out there, me included, but my son swears by them. Just gotta wonder what they would do when you go over a pulltab. I'll trade in my machine for coat hangers if they don't do anything. ;D

Great finds dathvick!! WTG!!

Great finds , and as far as the doubters...."the proofs in the puddin".....Ive found that wire "pin flags" work very well...they are usually available at Home Depot.....H.H......JO

Rats! I am a non-believer! However, my Dad had a Water Witch come out to our place when he was building on an acreage. The guy used a peach tree limb shaped much like a wishbone. He walked about the property for about an hour and pointed out 3 different spots to drill the well. Most of the wells in our area were 180 to 220 feet deep and had a lot of sulphur in them. Had to have water purification units hooked to them to be pottable. Our driller hit water at 40' and went down to 80' so there would be a reservior to draw on. Our water was purer than city water a water purifiction salesman told us after he tested it. The guy who witched the well called it "divining" instead of dowsing. He said divining was a gift you were born with, either you had it or didn't. His mother was a water witch also, but no one else in his family could do it. I thought that was pretty cool as a kid and haven't thought too much about it since. JIM P.S. I don't believe in UFOs or Santa Claus either.

hey dathvick if those gold chains really get to bothering you i will give you my mailing address and you can send them to me.....................anyone else hate gold, possibly silver,,,even clad,,,,,,,,,send to me.....gldhntr

I think the cheaper ones work just fine. The more expensive ones have a little container inside to put a sample of the substance in that you're looking for. Then you have to charge them-usually Visa or Mastercard. LOL Opps, getting off topic.
Seriously, gold chains are harder to find and when you do find them, it's hard to get them untangled from bermuda grass roots without damaging or breaking the chain.

The reason I hate these gold chains is its almost impossible to dig it out of the ground without damaging it. This one I hit with my shovel right in the middle of it and bent some of the links. Others I have dug I have cut into pieces without knowing it. If only there was a way to know it was a chain before digging I could then dig a bigger plug and pull the dirt apart.

Thanks for all the great posts and Happy Hunting!
