Hello! I ended up with 102 silver coins dug in 2009. I was trying to beat my total of 2008 (104 silvers) ~ but I got real close! Here's my highlight coin finds for 2009:
1876 Seated Liberty 50c
1954 Franklin 50c
1971 big ol' Ike Dollar
8 silver Washington quarters
2 Standling Liberty 25c's (both found in the same hunt)
5 Barber Dimes
38 Mercury Dimes
44 Roosevelt Dimes
3 silver Canadian dimes (1917, 1958 & 1960)
5 Buffalo Nickels
6 War Nickels
19 pre-1960 Nickels (other than the War nickels)
10 Indian Head Cents
91 Pre-1930 Wheat cents (including some semi-keys: '09-s, '10-s, '11-s, '13-s, and a couple '15-s's)
8 Trade Tokens and old parking/transit tokens
10 aluminum play coins
a couple gold rings
lots of silver jewelry
I didn't keep count of the common wheat cents dating from 1930 to 1958, nor all the clad coinage,
In May I sold my White's XLT and bought a Minelab Explorer SE. Sometimes I miss that old Spectrum XLT ~ we found a lot of treasures together over the last ten years, but I'm sure loving this new Minelab Explorer SE!
I'd like to THANK my treasure hunting buddies for all the fun road trips and treasure hunts together. We all had a great year! Also, I'd like to thank my wife and kids (even thought they probably won't read this) for understing my obsession with this great hobby ~ they are very understanding and supportive!
And a special Thanks to RON for all the help with my new SE detector. Without his help I wouldn't have been nearly as successful with it if I had to learn it on my own! Ron is a MINELAB MASTER!
Thanks for looking!
HAPPY HUNTING IN 2010!
