Went back to the public lawn that gave up the "whale-tail" bracelet and multiple sterling pieces last week. Spent two hours there before the rain. There was still more there! Favorite find of the day was the sterling wire cage wrapped stone pendant. Rang up like a Lincoln cent on the ATMax.

PS: Anyone have a clue on the one piece Nascar statue? Is it pewter or a similar metal?

Cheers, and get out and dig if you can! Sub 8-)

Nice find Sub. That piece reminds me of when my family and I use to do Lapidary work back in the 70's. We use to cut and polish our own stones, and put them into ring settings and other "different" type settings like the one you found. That could very well be a homemade piece.

Great finds, congrats! :occasion14:

Congrats on the PL finds :icon_thumleft:

I believe that's Mark Martin's 1992 #6 'Valvoline' Ford Thunderbird :occasion14:

Yes, they were cast in pewter. Part of the Action Platinum Series set. And it may be serial #'ed somewhere underneath.

Here's Bill Elliott's #94 McDonald's car

Wow,yous scored some great finds.I like the unicorn charm best.

Thank you! The necklace and unicorn pendant were in a neat little pile just below the surface of the grass. They rang up the same as a modern nickle. Unfortunately, they are plated, but in excellent condition so I am sure one of my grandkids will claim it! Cheers.
