In my last post I said maybe I will get some gold or silver on my next hunt. Well on my next hunt I did. I got a nice silver ring.
I went to a tiny little park I have detected a few times in recent months. I went there a couple of times when I first started detecting and found a few coins, but experience and a better machine helped me find more goodies. I went there yesterday and spent 3 hours swingin the CZ21. There is a lot of trash in spot so I mostly cherry picked the good signals and an occasional promising mid tone.
I ended up with 71 coins with a face value of $3.58, a house key, a heavy stainless spoon, a CROWN SILVER plated fork with all the plating gone, a 1954 D wheatie, a silver ring, a few tabs, a couple of aluminum cans and a few bits of construction aluminum.
The ring was just under the grass. When I pinpointed I could tell it was very shallow so I just stuck in my travel and pried up and the ring just popped out of the grass like you see it in the picture.
I was going to detect the scout camp yesterday. It was snowing here and at camp but the snow was supposed to be light at camp so I started out. The roads were in bad shape so I went back home. Now we have a major storm coming in so it looks like it may be a while before I can hunt again.
So some gas money, social distancing exercise in the fresh air and a nice silver for the pile. Thanks for looking, stay safe and may your coil lead you to good things.
