Really hot and humid today. I found about $1.40 CLAD and this 1944 wheatie which I was very happy with but on the way to the truck I hit a deep and repeating 54 on the AT Pro. I knew it was a nickel but was very happy to get buffed.
I really like these coins especially with a visible date.

Nice...a STEADY and repeating 53 53 53 or 54 54 etc...is almost 100% nickel...trash usually bounces. Great find! Ddf.

It's sad the dates get toasted on buffs. They are one of our neatest coins and the Indian and buffalo figures scream "America"! Gary

In my soil 52 - 54 are nickels and other assorted items. I did pull a V nickel once at 49...you never know!
