I give up!

When you are looking at your pictures, hit the "tools" bar on top of the screen, and then you should have an option to "Adjust size" or "resize image"

I use Irfanview for editing pics, and is great for sid. files also...here's a link to download it...

http://download.cnet.com/IrfanView/3000-2192_4-10021962.html?part=dl-IrfanView&subj=dl&tag=button

right click over the pic you want to edit and choose open with > irfanview

to crop pics......... box in the area of the pic you want to keep by holding down left mouse key and dragging, once the area is the size you want release mouse....go to tool bars click on edit and choose "cut area outside of selection"
next click edit again and choose "auto crop borders"
last step is to size the pic....click on image and choose resize/resample
first two boxes in pop up window on left from top set the pic size.....I usually use 600 in width box and make sure the heigth box is not over 1100 I believe that is the limit on tnet.....

last click on the save tab (looks like floppy disk) an save the pic to where you want to....

One note if you do not want to crop your photos you can just do the resize/resample step and save the pic....

Hope this helps.....

I have been trying to post pictures for an hour and it won't work. It says my files are to big. I am lost. At least I tried. Sorry.

Are you familiar with the program "Paint" that most likely came installed on your PC?

-Open the program "Paint".

-Then click "File" and then "Open". This will bring up the folders/files on your computer.

-Select the file you wish to work with.

-With the file/image open click on "Image". This will open a drop down menu.

-From the drop down menu, click "Stretch/Skew". This will open another box.

-In this box you will see "Stretch" with options for "Horizontal" and "Vertical". The %'s for these will be at 100.

-Change the value from 100 to your new percentage (either shrinking or enlarging) and click OK.

-Save the newly sized photo as a new file so as to retain your original.

Most of the time when resizing photos from my current digital camera I have to go down to 25% if I'm not cropping at all.
