Went on down to Laughlin today to try the first water hunt of the year. Sunny and 92f so I figured it should be fine. Well, no, it was friggin cold in there!
I would have warmed up with some gold in the scoop, but it just wasn't meant to be.
Now why in the world would there be so many tent stakes in the water?

The earring had me going, for a split second. Nope, no good.

Been right there in the river in Laughlin in August and it was still COLD! Crystal clear but cold...

Nice Find!!! Congrats!!!

You did good really. You could have got nothing, Thank you for taking the time to share with us

I heard that river is always cold because of the Davis dam. Was there in mid June almost two years ago, still cold in the water. But I'm sure the water clarity helps with detecting there.
