✅ SOLVED I found this weird capsule thing a few years ago, what is it?

I few years ago while walking on the lake michigan beach in Hammond Indiana, I saw this partially buried in the sand.
It seems to have been in the water for a long time. It has no seams, no markings or writing and no holes. It appeared to be made of aluminum as it is not magnetic and very light. Everyone I've shown it too have no idea what it is or what it was used for!

Home made fist load for smashing faces, pry made by a high school student in metal shop, thats just a guess...
or steam valve stopper

Found a number of these floats on the shores of Lake Michigan as a kid. Several variations of aluminum and also wood one in same shape.
Haven't head of one sine I left the area 63 years ago. Thanks for posting

Holy bejeezus that's a mammoth picture... heh

It kept coming and coming,,, larger and larger then this weird alien thing was forming... like the worm from "Dune" or something... wow... was like 3d movie.... sheesh.

Nice picture... um... I have to back up across the room to get an idea of what it may be. :P
