I found this thing? Any ideas? Its 2 inchs long and brass.

There is a very small hole in the disc and a hole about the size of a pencil it the tip.

Don't have a good guess yet but I'd assume that the small hole in the disc is from corrosion. I'm sure one of these fine people on here will chime in with the answer though.

Could be a lubrication cup from an old car.I,ve seen them similar to this on antique cars in which you fill with oil.

Tony, I'd sure like to see some pics of your engines. I love those old things. I found several over the years at old mining sites in southern Nevada. Later I realized what they were. Apparently someone else did also. Went back a couple years later and they were gone.
