I found this on a farm.in southeastern Massachusetts. Dates back to early 1800's. I'm finding other 1800's things, e.g. buggy brake tips copper coin

Did a little research, found this:
Manufactured in the early 1800s. The crown typically indicates it was made in England. "Double Gilt" means it was gilt with two times the standard of gold.

Where you from PD? I'm half a PD from Fall River, now living down the Cape.

Town of Dartmouth was the farm . Great comeback with the info. I found a 1816 Matron Head on same farm day before. I just knew there would be older pre 20th century stuff here thanks again.
 

I've usually found those in 1810's - 20's contexts, and I believe them to likely be on the earlier side of that range. Nice find!

It doesn't look like a Georgian Crown to me looks more Will IV/Victorian, so 1830s-40s.
