Thank you for providing that information. I will keep looking to see if I can find a pattern but it is good to know that it is likely on the newer side. The 1881 Ā®ROGERSĀ® trademark was filed in 1910 by Wm. A Rogers Ltd. The ā1881ā date doesnāt relate to year of productionā¦ I believe it stems from the historic date when the Rogers & Spurr Mfg. Co. was sued by the William Rogers Mfg. Co. for āfraudulent useā of the āRogersā name.
I couldnāt find that pattern listed in the old Rogers pattern books, but the company was bought by Oneida in 1929 and they continued using the 1881 Ā®ROGERSĀ® trademark through until the 1990s, with the mark finally expiring in 2005. I think the pattern is probably relatively modern, from the time when Oneida were using the mark. Some of these also carry the Oneida name, and some not. These later patterns are both numerous and not well documented, some of them being āexclusivesā produced for particular retailers.
Iām in a small city outside of Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. Itās called Port Coquitlam. My house was built in 1979 but the property was old farm land.Denisek where is your back yard ? Country and possibly state ?
