The square holes are the giveaway on plow parts , the bolts called plow bolts have a flush head so as not to catch in the dirt and wear through from abrasion.

My early years I was around timber prep and some vintage tools. If you could Emagin a two foot handle and a very sharp edge on the flat end and you may see what I mean.
