That's cool, good find

It is a shame someone's life story wound up at the dump

poem book

I wonder if the author of the poem book, Jean Esther Frost is the same Jean that gave the book to Marion.
I think the author was born: Jan. 6, 1914 and died: Dec. 21, 1989 She is buried Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles (same place as my first father in law)

Any hint where Marion was born and lived? Maine?

I like to do history and people hunts.

That might do very well on ebay.

Last year I bought a bundle of love letters from and to a soldier in WWII. They will go on the bay eventually.

I am going to have to see if there is a FREE table at our local dump.

I think they are from Newton , mass . And Marion was born in 1909 ?

i think Jean wrote the manuscripts because she refers to her sister Marion many times . the tent lady may be Marion ?

This is a shame, the life of a human being ends up in a dump.

I know that I've dumped one heck of a lot of years of my life into a dump. But I have my ever faithful, pushing 15 year old shredder going at it even today - all these crap bills and things we receive.

But nothing of history goes to the dump.

It would be a horrid thing if that lady's life was shredded. Obviously her descendants thought otherwise.

May their lives end the same way.

We have forgotten those things of heritage which really should matter to us.

It would be cool if I could find the now-a-days -family- decendents and send it to them

Wow! That is so cool!
It is awesome that we are privileged to share in her life, to celebrate it, even tho she is gone.
It is sad when one passes on and their life is unceremoniously dumped in the trash.
I once ran across pics and personal stuff at a flea market were the seller was going to dump the lot into the trash and go home....i bought a container with a hidden stash.

Yes - just behind the free table is the giant compactor - they chose to put it in a place where it would be found (free table ). It has been rescued - now here .

I wonder if someone from the Gregory Wing Nursing Facility is responsible for putting it there?

So others don't have to click...

Marion E. Frost
2002-07-25

Marion Eleanor "Frosty" Frost, 93, died Friday, July 12, at the Gregory Wing in Boothbay Harbor.

Born May 18, 1909 in West Newton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of G. Howard and Alice (Moulton) Frost.

She grew up in West Newton and attended local schools. After high school, she graduated form Bouve Boston with a bachelor's degree in education. From 1938 to 1960 she taught physical education in the Waltham School System, taking two years of her teaching career to become a WAVE in the United States Navy during World War II.

After her retirement from teaching, she moved to Southport in 1963. Ms. Frost enjoyed athletics and received many awards and trophies in golf, bowling and archery. She also enjoyed woodcarving, painting and photography.

Survivors include a cousin, Connie Lewis of Plaistow, N.H; close friends, Marilyn Keyes of Boothbay Harbor, Jeffrey and Roxianne Keyes of Southport, Pamela and Peter Seneca of Belmont, Mass., Priscilla and Daniel Eich of Davidson, N.C., and Thomas, Hazel and Beverly Wasson of Allentown, N.H.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 27 at the Congregational Church in Boothbay Harbor with the Rev. Peter Panagore officiating. Interment will be at the Newton Crematorium in Newton Centre, Mass.

Those who wish may make donations to the Humane Society, P.O. Box 303, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538.

Probably didn't have any. I saw her obit. Died at 93 still as Miss Frost. Never married, so most likely didn't have any kids. All that probably sat in a box in cousin, Connie Lewis' home since 2002 the year she died. Then Connie died (probably recently) and her kids tossed it.

All above is just my imagination, but it could have happened.

Hopefully there's still some family that would cherish her memories.
