I got out today, which was beautiful here in NE Ohio and found me some GOLD.
Very excited.
Marked 417 (10K).
Funny though how the target area was hitting iron-foil-nickel as I was swinging over it.
Searching the plug I found a gum wrapper, searching again I found what looked to be a pull tab at first but as the sun hit it, I saw that unfamiliar shine for me but knew right away this was gold.
Searching more, I found a screw. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR HOLE is what I am learning. 3 targets and 1 keeper.
Todays take was 52 cents clad, 52D wheatie, lots of trash since I told myself I was digging low tones today (glad I did).
I cant figure out if the ring is slighlty bent or a lot bent. My wife seems to think it was made that way. What do you think?

Oh by the way, she got this ring too just like last weeks silver. Hmmmmm, I am seeing a pattern.

Thanks for looking

Big congrats on the gold ring! My guess is that you should always agree with your wife...

just think of how many such rings many of us have missed over the years not digging something? great find. prob asked you before, what major city are you near in Ohio? i spend some of my summer up there and have plans to detect the chagrin river near a spot i found last summer.

Gold baby!!! Well done, congrats and HH

Nice gold. Congrats. By the way, a ring mandrel will make that as good as new.

Congrats on scoring a gold ring. I really need to dig more mid tones .

send the ring to me and I'll try to figure if it was bent

Congratualtions! :occasion14: Remember a happy wife = more detecting time! :icon_thumleft:

Thanks John, I just placed my order for a kit.
Other research has lead me to a possible style of this ring.
"10K Curved Wave Thumb Ring" is what it maybe called.

Hopefully the madrel kit will shape it up right pretty! :icon_thumright:

Congrats on the gold. "Happy wife=Good life"

GOLD!
Congratulations!!

I dug all low tones in my yard yesterday... 84 pieces of foil and 3 partial pulltabs...one washer...nice job!!!

I think your wife is correct. My granddaughter has a ring where the pieces are bent so you can put on as many as you want to make it small or big. Great find!! I’m jealous. Lol
