I found another place that I will have to put on my "To Hunt" list........
Actually I have known about this ghost town for many years, but it was such a pain in the butt to get to, and it's on private property. I ust to have to hike/bike in along the river, it took about 3 1/2 hours. Now that I have permission to go on the property, it's about a mile & a half walk on a dirt road. There is now only 3 buildings still standing, the last time I was there there was 6. When the river is low ( Level fluctuates because of the dams) you can see the foundations of buildings, and what looks like sidewalks? When they built the dams here, any town that was close to the river was forced to leave. Any building that was within100 feet of the river was burnt to keep the wood from them from getting cought in the turbines of the dams. I am going to hunt this spot this year...........If anyone is interested in joining me, feel free to do so. Due to the rattlesnake problems in that area, summer hunting is out of the question. It would be an all day hunt, there is a lot of ground to cover, and I imagine there is a lot of trash.
