Living in an old part of a town that was settled in the mid 1700's has its advantages. Infront of my house is about 4 acres of field that was farmed heavily until the 1940's. Now, I am new to this hobby, and my finds so far have been mediocre. A few toasted IH's, a few colonial buttons, and some change. My interests in the hobby were beginning to fade when I found this about 100ft from my front door! It's my first silver coin and is in great shape! :hello2: Should I clean it more? If so, with what? Also, any history or info about this coin is appreciated. Thanks and HH!

Something I'm still looking for, CONGRATS

I personally only lightly clean with warm soapy water. Best to keep it's dug charater & not shine it up.

Awesome and congrats!!!!

Way to go! That is on my bucket list to find. Don't clean it, just display it proudly!

Awesome find and in very nice condition for its age. The ones I find are usually badly worn. Well done!
