Hello everyone on Sunday I had to go to new Paltz New York to switch cars with my daughter I asked Bart fellow treasure net Hunter if you wanted to take a ride and hunt new paltz
He agreed and we left we had a great day hunting and it's very old town however always found a recent coins bart did manage to scrounge up two silver Rosies and one Indian had cent I found nothing but clad but it was a great dayThe sun was shining I enjoyed it and hope Bart did too
Today I went back to my side where I found the horse soldiers I found eight coins six wheat pennies dating from 1939-1959 2 lincoln cents and what I thought was a pull tab or maybe a penny. I dug a plug its out of the hole but I can't find it so I sift the dirt again I see silver but tiny. Foreign coin ? A kids token nope it's a trime 1852 my oldest coin to date. I was excited I texted Bart right away with a photo he gets back to me right away with what it is but I already googled it. Hh gl thanks for reading image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Excellent! Finding a trime is on most coinshooters bucket list, but most of us will never get one. Great job!

Small silver - great!

Welcome to the Trime club! Kind of an exclusive one. ;)

Nice!

Great find. That's one that's evaded me. Also love the title of your post. Thank you for not using trime in a pun like, "it's about trime". Lol

That's a beaut...

Congrats

Steve

Learned something from this post. I found one of these 3cent pieces in Jan. Mine was also an 1852. Found it with some CW relics wich made it even better for me. I usually only target CW relics so I only have a few coins. Haven't heard it called trime maybe someone can elaborate. Congrats on a great find!

Congrats on that great recovery! I witnessed my digging buddy find one last year, I'm dying to find one too!

Congrats on your first trime and oldest coin!!! I have only found one of those little things and thought I was digging a zinc penny.

Trime is a sort of contraction of three and dime - maybe tri (as in three cents) and dime.

There are still people who don't believe me when I tell them the US produced a 3 cent coin. That's a nice one too! :treasurechest::thumbsup:

Congrats on the sweet trime! That baby's been elusive for me. Continued success!
