I was hunting around the local high school baseball field when I got a solid dime hit. When I dug I found this.

It looks like a baseball charm. I think it is lead as it hit too low for silver and is heavy.

High shool Players used to wear on necklace. Footballs and basketballs too....PS In the olden days lol

Thanks for the encouragement. This year has started out a lot slower than last. Really been struggling to find anything to post. Lots of clad, but not much else so far. I know it's out there, just got to get my coil over it.
 

That's really cool . Don't ever be ashamed of clad its coffee or battery money depending on your detector . Or do like I do and roll it, cash it in and buy spot silver with it
 

might be pewter instead of lead ..pewter often in the old days contained lead --modern pewter does not but is still heavy like lead and similar looking..
