Well this is new for me, I found this in April along with 3 other buckles in one day along with many buttons 3 State of Virgina buttons, 2 bayonet scabbard tips, colonial buttons etc etc. A New York artillery Button unusual looking solid in make up, Large Eagle sitting on a cannon with 3 cannon balls underneath. I'm the new guy and I'm cooking for the girl so I'm trying to get this out as quick as possible. Heh heh. I have so much to tell it took me a while to post this so gotta go. I need to understand how to compress images soon so I can make the top row hall of fame.
The rebel man or cook today Shiskabob on the grill with some wine.
I love this forum good digs to all and talk at ya later

That's a beautiful find. Congrats on the good work. I have recently started using Microsoft picture manager to edit my pics. Right click on the pic and it will give you options and click on "open with". It will give you options to open the pic with. One of them is Microsoft picture manager. You can change everything about the pic. You can even click on edit and on the right side click on compress pic. Then click on "web pages" above it and click on "ok" below it and it will compress it just to the right size for T-net. It's a great tool and easy to use too. Have a good one

Awesome buckle and finds and welcome to TNet! I use a free program for editing pictures called Irfanview, you might give it a try and the price is right. HH, Mike

Excellent buckle rebelman!!!
I'm soo jealous.....

Keep safe...

Welcome from the UK & nice find :)

Those pics at the top are taken care of by the administrators... they choose who gets there! Your find is excellent and might in fact get picked up... good luck!

I just use microsoft paint to resize... open your pic in the program and resize it using the stretch/scew option... fast - easy - free. (Assuming you have a miscrosoft based computer)

Thanks for all the help with the compression of pics and thanks again for looking. I'm on these crazy shifts this week and hence the slow response.
Again this is a great web site and love all of the things people have found.

Thanks Nat,

Your in a great area as well for finding civil war relics. It takes time and the persistence will eventually pay off. I asked for permission from a family acquaintance and he told me to have at it. 150 acres+ and still much more territory to cover. Some of the buttons are just amazing especially the 3 State of Virginia buttons (the size of quarter with shank and all). Its really odd that I have not found hardly any dropped bullets maybe three, but the button count is probably at around 70 or so. Plus of course the three buckles from me and one for my buddy who I was teaching how to use his radio shack detector. lol unbelievable how things happen. He asked me to come over in these pines to look at this huge hole he dug 12" wide and 12' deep and pass my pan over yep I said good signal. Let me widen the hole and bingo out pops a beautiful sword plate 3" inches deep. Oh well I wasn't to jealous. Yea right! That was it for me the very next day I was back there and found my 3.
Well, talk at ya again some time, Nat
Good luck and good huntin
I"ll try to post the other digs as soon as I practice the sizing and compression of the pics.
