... but on a smaller (cent) scale.
The last few weeks my pickup banks have been suppling me with lots of boxes - halves, dimes, nickels and cents.
I've been doing the larger coins first so I can dump and pickup more. Last weekend I had 21 boxes of cents to go through.
Since then I picked up 11 more boxes of cents. I just finished. I'm only looking for wheaties (or older). I already have 40 $50 bags of
copper stored away. The wheaties total was 330. A few in the teens. Most in the 40's and 50's. Two Indians showed - 1903 and 1904.
I also save Canadian cents since they do not make them any more. The most interesting coin found was a 1941 Nazi Germany 5 reichspfennig.
When I opened that roll I saw the reeded edge showing through all the plain edges and immediately looked at it. Not worth a whole lot but
worth a keeper. As for silver, its been steady. The last couple of weeks, halves produced 2 90% and 12 40%. About 12 dimes and just a couple
war nickels. The stuff is still out there.
