I didn't have any plans to go detecting today when I went to bed last night, but when I woke up at 6:15 this morning the first thing I thought about was.....you guessed it, going metal detecting . So I laid there thinking, Hmm, where am I going to go? Well, I thought about the area at the edge of our City Park. It used to be an old house site....the problem has always been it was so grown up with vegitation you could'nt really swing a coil in there.

Well, when I got there I noticed that it was not nearly as grown up as it used to be! Must be the ongoing drought that we are in here. Anyway, I did manage to find an 1898 Barber dime and two old silver rings. :coffee2:

Keep the passion my friends. :icon_sunny:

Great looking silver. :icon_thumleft:

You all are awesome...thanks for your replies! :notworthy:

I added a pic of the inside of the larger ring. It has some initials D C G. I would quess the ring is 70-80 years old :dontknow: It is a size 9 so probably a woman's ring (wedding?) I don't know though...not really a feminine design.

Beautiful silver ring finds there Rick! :notworthy:
The "DCG" ring certainly looks to date from the 1920's or possibly earlier! :icon_thumright:
