I went to my farmhouse I own that has been pretty good to me with finds, I have searched this property about a billion times, one area of the field I really haven't and the reason is that in all of the photos I have from the past 150 years there wasn't a structure there. But today I tried it out and boy am I glad. I dug a first and she is pretty!

This year I've dug my first
Fatty Indian
Shield nickel
Large cent
And this beauty IMG_1498.JPGIMG_1498.JPGIMG_1507.JPG

That's the way to do it.
She's a beauty
Congrats

Congrats on your first Seated Dime, and all the other bucket list coins you found this year.

Sweet seated!! Congrats on scratching off another one off the list.

Nice find! I can relate. Was detecting an open field looking for an old house shown on old plats. Didn't find that house, so started a zigzag pattern up and down the field with the detector wide open. In one section started to get some iron hits so I decided to grid the section and low and behold, out pops an 1853 seated quarter. Possibly an old cabin site. Congrats on your find.

Nice silver! Congrats! Did you find that on edge? Looks like it in the pic.

Way to go on the seated! I just found my first one last season.

Sweet, very nice mate.

Nice seated!

It was on edge and sticking half out of the dirt! I saw it had a wreath on it and knew it was a barber or a seated, I didn't say it out loud but I thought it had to be a seated dime, my year would be made if it was especially since I was at my own property. I have found 3 Indians 2 walking liberty halfs several mercs one barber half and 5 silver Washingtons and a load of wheats. And the best part, when I bought he house the owner said it had been detected before and they found several old coins and other old things. But obviously not everything!

Congrats on pulling that sweet seated. When I started I thought they were common, my 1st silver was a seated dime from a yard that has been hunted by 4 others over the previous 4 years. I have since learned that they are not that common, and have yet to find my 2nd one.

Very nice first seated coin. May you find many more;)

Like they say, we never get it all. I continue to hunt property I have hunted literally 100's of times. Conditions change and coins move around in the soil. You just never know when a coin you've certainly walked over many times will finally lock onto your machine. You're having a great year. Keep working that nice farm property. Peace.

Wow Congrats on some great finds this year! Whatever you do, do not plant any crops in that field. There has to be more there!
