I Didn't Expect to See This Today
After stuffing ourselves at lunch today my wife, her sister-in-law, nephew and I decided to drive down town and walk down to the river. Albany put in a river walk some years back that follows the Flint river north for about 5 miles. Needless to say we only walked about 3/4s of a mile before turning around and heading back. I always walk with my head down looking at any bare spot on the ground. This area was the town dump back in the mid 1800s. Anyway, the others got way ahead of me and when I stopped to look at another bare spot a movement caught the corner of my eye. I looked up to see a 10 point buck about 30 yards away staring right at me. By the time I got my camera up he started to move off into the brush and this was the only shot I could get. I took it with a Nikon D5200 with the 18-55mm lens.
