SO im reading on the threads about how to clean coins without ruining them.... I have a jar full of wheaties the i have dig aswell as just set aside befor i knew they could possible hold value. I grab a few off the top of the jar to experiment with the baking powder method.... after i clean them I look at the dates..... are you ready....

Im so looking thru the rest to see what i have. I also saw three steel pennies. LOL im freaking out! hubbys got the car and that where the camera is but when he gets home from work Ill post pics.

WOW! Sounds like you've had a great day, and like you said, didn't even have to leave the house. Does it get any easier?? LOL There are some sites online that have coin value info. Check them out and let us know. And get the pics posted! Can't wait to see.

I love it when you're cleaning up & find some wheaties. Those are good dates. If you remember where you dug them, go back. There's silver near by.

Congrats KGC!! Now you need to go get yourself a lincoln cents collectors book to put all your little guys in. I have a few more to purchase....er..........find to make my book complete! It's such a fun hobby!

Can you explain the bakind powder method? I'm nto familair with it and need to clean some grubby coins.
