Found silver, that is!

This time it's a 1941 Mercury dime, good condition. I haven't found a silver coin in about 5 months, so it was nice to finally get one unexpectedly today at a park I've hit several times without success. I took a video with my cell phone camera but I have to download a video converter and then try to see if I can post it. In the meantime, you'll just have to be content with a picture. :laughing7:

Nice Looking silver you got there !!
I have yet to find my silver...ahh someday soon !
Congrats.

You're in a perfect area for silver. I used to live in So. Cal and no matter which direction you go you will eventually run into old areas. Try researching old parks or try those parking strips in the old parts of towns, or vacated lots in old sections of a city. These have always been good to me. At Griffith Park in L.A. there's an area where there used to be an old zoo. I went there only once and found a 1917 wheatie but came short of any silver. Lots of areas around there to get you some silver, though. Good luck!
