I developed a couple theories on when to coin roll hunt

I came to the conclusion that when I big entertainment item comes out people will turn in their spare change. That is when you go to find it.

For instance, when Grand Theft Auto 5 came out I had a great week the week after.
The game is all about robbing banks, jewelry stores, taking drugs, stealing cars, and being an entrepreneur. It makes sense some teenager steals his parents coins to buy the game.

With the new video game consoles coming out I'm betting I get some big scores let's hope I'm right.
Am I nuts? then again who wants a plain Eminem?

true, and smart. I use all sorts of tactics like this to find coins, whenever I can think of them at least. hope you find some!

I was talking to a teller in one of the banks lately, and she said they don't deal with nearly as many coins as they used to. (Because of debit cards)
But she said they usually get alot around Christmas time.

I think most of them show up after an older person dies.

Either the spouse doesn't realize the value and dumps them, or heirs cleaning up an estate cash them in at face.

I have had many people ask my opinion on a dead relatives collection, there is some great stuff in closets.

My Aunts mother died a few years ago, worked her whole life in a bank, and she had some beauties. 10 rolls of '64 Kennedys she put back in '64, and a bunch of other nice coins, I made a good offer but didn't get them. She sold them to a coin shop, but wouldn't say what she got. I think she was afraid her family would have been suspicious if she sold them to her nephew.
