I.D. this iron object and I'll send you one!

I've been trying to i.d. these for a year or so with no positive answer. A few people have made suggestions but I can't find any photos to back up the ideas. The site is most likely a C.W. campground and the dimensions of these objects are roughly 3 and 1/2 wide, 2 and 1/2 tall in the center and the spike on the back is about 2 and 1/2 inches long. There are 2 little spikes on the front that are about 2 inches apart and stick out about a quarter of an inch. A pic of the same object with i.d. would be greatly appreciated!

I have enhanced one of the items and find that it appears to have 2 screw heads where you refer to bumps on the other side... rusted off screws? There is also a bevel on the bottom (wide edge) noticeable on two of the items, leading me to believe that these are brackets of some kind, for draperies?, closet rod, or drapery tie back , or something similar.

Could be...Still looking though...

There are four of them, so I would suggest something that required four in order to work, unless there are more that you didn't show in the picture. They did have screws in them. Probably not for furniture, maybe a stove, maybe an architectural/structural use. HH M

Just a guess, but I'm thinking maybe replaceable teeth from an old drag harrow. The points being the working ends and the flat part slid into the frame and locked in. There were oodles of different types made--I looked at some (googled) but didn't find a match. If they are harrow teeth they were probably replaced in the field and discarded being too short to work the soil.

They look like some sort of hinge pin, but I don't know for what :icon_scratch:
I did wonder, maybe for the old swinging saloon doors, but I don't think so.

Those look like cast iron Victorian shutter mounts. Keepers would have been inserted into the two holes in the base of the hinge pin to hold the shutter in either the open or closed position.
creskol seems to make sense
