I.D. help needed

I found this today not too far from where an old house used to be. The house was tore down in the 20's . The tag was about 6-7 inches down and was dug not to far from where I found a 1900 Barber quarter. Any ideas? Thanks.

I've seen any number of tags like this-- depending on where you found it, could it be a lumber or textile tag?

I guess it could, it was found on a hill with no structures any longer on it.
