✅ SOLVED I could use some help narrowing down the age of a button

I found a button, which appears to be made of brass or copper, in an area where I've previously found items dating from the late 1880's through the early 1900's. Unfortunately, it's also an area where there is a school built in the 1960's, so there is no end to the modern stuff either.

Clearly, I don't know buttons. But I'm sure some of you do, so if you can help regarding the approximate age of this button, I'd be very appreciative!

It's less than 3/4 of an inch in diameter and is shown in the pictures below. Thanks!

I did some light cleaning with naval jelly and Andre's Pencils. It's definitely brass.
