Re: I could use some help ID'ing a medal

Maybe something relating to the military...with the wings and propellors. An Airdale. I don't have an answer, I'm sorry. But I still say something relating to the miliitary. Nice find!

The Army Air Corps used that symbol pre and during WW2. That appears to be some kind of a tag.

Referring to this excellent site for this type of 'badge'...
http://www.ww2wings.com/main.shtml
your style of wings (with three layers of feathers) looks more like the WWI variety, rather than the WWII which all seem to have only two layers of feathers.

Unfortunately the pics are copyrighted but check this out under WWI on the menu

Looks like a flight engineers emblem on it.
The Flight Engineers emblems all show four-bladed props.

Perhaps your disk is a 'sweetheart' pendant.

Hi,
Yes, I would say it is off of a sweetheart bracelet, or necklace, but with the hole it is probably a bangle from a charm bracelet. nice find!

Thanks for the replies.

Sorry that I didn't get back to you guys sooner, but my internet connection was down this weekend.

Thanks trikikiwi for that great site.

Bigcypresshunter, the only thing that is on the back is the word "STERLING" that is at the bottom.
